Introduction

It is a full day course covering each section of the UKCAT, the best part about the course is that they tend to focus on the most common areas that students tend to perform less well on, for instance, time management in verbal reasoning section or techniques in identifying patterns in abstract reasoning. The course is perfect if you are looking to improve your UKCAT score in a short space of time.  I was particularly impressed with the ongoing support candidates receive until they take the UKCAT, you get access to 1000+ practice questions, online lectures and support from experienced experts, even after the course. Their approach to tackling each reasoning test is unique, it is by far the best UKCAT crash course in the UK , no other company offers the ongoing support.  The response rate is amazing, if you have any questions or difficulty after the course their tutors will get back to you promptly.

The programme schedule is as follows:

 10:15 – 10:30 – Arrival, Registration and Resources

10:30 – 12:00 – Verbal Reasoning

12:00 – 13:30 – Quantitative Reasoning

13:30 – 14:00 – Lunch

14:00 – 15:30 – Abstract Reasoning

15:30 – 16:00 – Decision-Making

16:00 – 17:30 – Situational Judgement

17:30 – 18:00 – Debrief and Finish

Pros

  • The course is detailed, well taught and comprehensive.
  • Full Access to Online material – online lectures by experts so you can prepare before and after the course.
  • Ongoing support – even after the course you can email tutors till the day of your exam so you’re never alone or stuck. Respond rate is really good!
  • Free UKCAT guide – contains 1200 practice questions and advice
  • 2 Full Mock Papers -free mock exams that stimulate format of the real exam.

Cons

  • Limited spaces available – They only run 9  seminars each year (Find Out Dates)
  • Currently, courses are only offered in London and Manchester.

Conclusion

I would strongly recommend the UniAdmissions UKCAT crash course, they offer far more support than any other UKCAT programme, with additional resources, access to online material and ongoing support till you take the exam. The tutors are well experienced and offer great advice on how to approach each section of the exam. The free guides and online lectures included in the course takes the programme to the next level, with helpful tips and advice to go through at your own time.  If you go on any 1 -day course make it this one!
